week 4

This week we had our first workshops, that some of the people from our and other group found controversial and inappropriate. I am not saying that it was not controversial but it was a great reason to have a deep conversation about the current world’s situation and refugees in all. In my opinion, it was needed to make some of the people aware of the problem and show our point of view from various perspectives, because all of us has different feelings and fears. For example, my home town is pretty close to the Ukrainian border so I am scared about their family and friends probably more than people from the UK. I know a lot of people who helps Ukrainian refugees to find a new home in Poland and start a new life. The whole situation is super stressful for me and I know that the text I wrote is not really coherent and clear but it is very hard for me to write about it.

On my paper sheet, I outlined my body like Miranda told as to do and then I wrote feelings that I think a small children can feel when they are displaced and when they do not have their home. They feel lost, they do not understand what is going on, they would like to play with friends, they do not know how great their loss is. It is a confusing feeling, because they do not understand the greatness of the problem, but they still feel disturbed. They see their parents crying – if they still have them- and that makes them cry too because something bad is happening. It will have a huge impact on them in the future.

I made an origami crane because it was the first thing that came to my mind. Birds are the symbol of freedom that every person would like to have and we have to fight for it. Even if it seems impossible, we need to remember that everything IS POSSIBLE.

As in the previous semester, I want to put here some songs that remind me of the HOME.

suddenly I forgot all of the songs, so I will update them in the next posts.
